Thanks for your message - it's nice to know you are listening.

You can be sure that I will try to debug these things -  as  my  time
permits.

But: the problem I ran into is a DESIGN problem: the RT-Linux  module
tries  to write to low kernel memory, which is write-protected on the
PPC. It's  trivial  to  work  around  that  and  make  kernel  memory
writable.  But  I  guess  the  kernel  text pages are read-only for a
reason.

That means the design of RT-Linux is incompatible with the design  of
the PPC Linux kernel. Given the fact that I just started to look into
RT-Linux  I  am  not  in  the  position  to  comment  on  such design
decisions.

Some comment from you or Cort might help a bit.
