Re: [rtl] rtlinux-3_0-pre9 compilation errors. ppc-yellowdog-linux/2.95.2gcc version 2.95.2 19991024( release/franzo)

Hi Cort,

What do you mean by normal kernel 'xconfig' troubles (I'll use menuconfig
from now on)? I'm fairly new to ppc linux and this would be news to me. I
can see having some troubles with config dependencies, although I thought
dependencies were accounted for in the scripts, but I'm hitting this at
almost every turn. I took a step backwards and I'm trying to just compile
some -test kernels. Slowly running through the permutations until I get one
that will completely link. I have one config for test1 and just found
another for test5 which has too much stuff in it for my needs. Is this
normal to have such linking problems for the ppc? Maybe I should look
towards cross compiling?? I'm up for suggestions.

Thanks,
JH

I've heard of normal kernel 'xconfig' troubles on Yellowdog CS 1.2.1.
There's no trouble on 1.2, though.
