Hi,
Could some of you more experienced RT-Linux users answer a few short
questions for me?
1) I have 6 processors, and I would like to use 4 of those to execute a
real-time task in parallel. Will I be able to allow Linux 6.2 to run
continuously (i.e. accept network traffic like telnet) on 1 of the other 2
processors while my real-time tasks runs, or do I have to have a pause in my
real-time task to do anything will Linux 6.2?
2) I read that a real-time task has a fixed allocation of memory for code
and data. When is this fixed and who fixes it? I have 4 GB of RAM, so
would I be able to give (fix) my rt-task at compilation time any amount of
that memory I wanted, or will RT-Linux fix the amount for me?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
