insmod, lsmod etc

Should I be concerned when I insert one version of a driver and it says:

 % lsmod
 Module       Size  Used by
 pcisc5      28765  0 (unused)
 
and anther version which says:

 % lsmod
 Module       Size  Used by
 pcisc5      28765  0
 
The reason I ask is that the second driver has a bug (which is proving
difficult to trace)?
