And nowhere there they say that gcc-2.96 is bad. All noise
is there mostly political. They mostly
object to (RedHat) policy to making an independent "releases"
that may confuse a lot of people.

The issues with kernels and misc. gcc's was beaten to death in misc.
mailing lists and I do not want to repeat all those arguments.
