I said RH 7.X  X not 1. And both do come with gcc 2.96 which
had/has problems compiling certain kernels. With other words
it is a bad compiler for RT-Linux work.

Once again i mentioned RH7.X and 7.0 comes with kgcc AFAIK.
Also i said i _think_ it was called kgcc. 

And all this was meant to _help_ ppl on the list, as other ppl
tried to do too, including the mentioned persons. On the other
hand your most helpful reply is;
