debugger support

Hi Groupmates,
 
  I am student of M.Tech in Indian Institute of
Technology. As part of my thesis i am developing
debugger for Realtime Applications in RTLinux
environment. I heared that there will be some support
from OS for debugger. What is the support available
for debuggers in RTLinux environment ? Please write to
me .
