Hi Chandu,

     Recompile the network module source file and copy the module  to 
network modules folder(/lib/modules/2.2.18-rtl/net/). and restart network 
deamon using
/etc/init.d/network restart (in 6.2 /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart).

I am able to use X-Windows on both Redhat6.2 as well as 7.0.
