How to create overloads

hi,
I would like to know how to create overload so that many tasks miss 
the deadline. In the scheduler "rtl_sched.c" , where tasks are checked 
for overruns, does it mean it has missed its deadline?

Can deadlines be specified for periodic tasks in RTLinux and how if 
possible? 

I would be glad if someone could help me out on this.
