    Is this strictly true?  Given that the kernel _is_ the lowest-
    priority RT-task, it should be, but I seem to recall some caveats
    regarding not being able to call certain RT-Linux routines from the
    (non-RT) kernel.  (One example: pthread_wakeup_np()).
