Q: High speed serial + RTLinux?

Hello RT Folk,

I am interested in using RTLinux for high speed serial communications (~500kBaud).  Has anyone had any experience using the RTLinux at these sort of rates?  The application involves a Sick LMS-200 laser scanner in high speed mode.  I am planning to use serial board with a 16550C with the appropriate crystal change to get the right baud rate.

Any pointers would be most appreciated.
