[rtl] Problem With RT-Linux Examples
To Everyone (FYI):
First, thanks for the responses on my problem with the 2tasks example core
dumping and rebooting my machine.
Second, I figured out the problem. It was a classic NEWBIE mistake. So if
anyone is having the same problem or knows someone who is they may want to
try this.
I made the mistake of assuming that the source code Caldera places on the
hard drive is the same that is in the linux-2_0_33_tar.gz because it is not.
I download the tar/zipped file from the net and followed Till Christian
Siering's install instruction. Guess what, everything worked perfectly.
The "Frank" "Zappa" messages all appeared and no core dump/restart.
Before I unzipped the file I moved the Caldera version of linux-2.0.33
directories to old_linux-2.0.33 just in case needed for something.
Again thanks and I hope this helps someone else before they get to
fustrated.
Donald (NOT FUSTRATED ANYMORE) Radke
P.S.
Does anyone know if you can hook-up and use an Iomega ZIp Drive (external
parrell version)?
