I found a SSD that is supposed to work with Linux. I have not tried it yet
but it is only ~$140 for the card.
It is the AR-B7016 from circuit specialists

I do not have one nor have I tested one to verify. Tech. Support reported
that they asked the card manufacturer and were told Linux is supported.
