Earlier this year, I posted a message with the patch and a 
few other things attached (its only a small tgz). So if you look up 
the mail archive at rtlinux.cs.nmt.edu then you should be able to 
find it. Try looking around mid to late April of this year (1998).

At present I don't have a http or ftp site to leave these sorts 
of things in but anyone else is welcome to if they feel its worth the 
effort.
