[rtl] smp patch 2.1.90

Hi,

I managed to DownLoad the patch, but when trying to (un)tar it , I get
the a message saying it does not look like a tar archive, no matter what
option I use, I tried
tar -xzf file
tar -x file
tar -t file
none works.

any ideas ?
