[rtl] Driving simulator
Hi,
I am working on a driving simulator and I would like to know
if RT-Linux can suit to the project.
We use a SGI and a PC (PII 400).
-The PC is in charge of acquiring signals from
the car and calculating the force feed back for the wheel.
Acquisition and calculations are done at 1000Hz (max 2500Hz).
We need a frequence
of 1000Hz because of the force feed back for the
wheel.
Signals are : 16 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs, 24 digital
inputs, 8 digital outputs, 2 resolver inputs.
- The SGI is in charge of : visual, traffic,
dynamic vehicle model, ... The frequence is 120Hz.
- The PC and the SGI communicate with reflective
memory.
We have to choose an OS for the PC, and I would like to know
if RT-Linux can be used for this project?
Thanks for your advices.
