[rtl] periodic-module lockup

I think I found a bug in rtlinux release9D for 2.0.35 ...

my machine locks up when I do the following:

1. load a real-time periodic task module.

2. run a linux test program which is an endless busy loop (uses
99% processor)

it doesn't matter which order I do the above, the keyboard and mouse
lock up, and no one can telnet to my machine via ethernet - it seems
linux just can't run at all. the module simply flips a bit on the
printer port at 60 hz. I don't think this is machine specific.

I've tried two different rt-modules. linux runs fine until the busy loop
process. The busy loop without the rt-periodic task doesn't affect
linux. can anyone explain why this happens or try this on their machine,
please ?

Rtlinux developers: is there any diference between 9d and 9e which would
make a difference ?

thank you
