My experience is that if the RT task is "light weight", that is it
gets finished quickly, it is not noticed by an operator who is running
say vi or the gcc compiler. However I have also loaded up
the computer with RT Tasks that make the Linux system so unresponsive
that it is unusable. The reason is that RT Tasks get absolute
first priority. So an infinite loop in an RT task will lock
the machine up. It is all up to the programmer.
