That is very interesting! You might be interested in joining effords
with Bruce Perens --- URL for his project (in concept stage) GINA is
at http://www.hams.com/gina/
There is an issue of sutability of CORBA for gluing pieces
together. From one side it is very standard and gives you the
capaility to link to other applications (e.g. the (KDE/GNOME)
spreadsheet); from the other side it is an overhead, that is hard to
justify.
