[rtl] long time stability ...

Hi there,
I have troubles with the long time stability of rt-linux.. Here is the
story:

We are runnuing RT-Linux Patch 0.5 on a Kernel 2.0.29 on multiple PC's,
using
the edf-scheduler with 4 RT_Tasks and RT-Fifos. The system is stable and

works fine, but after three or ,four months the harddisks crashes. They
have lost inodes
, invalid blocks in the inodes and different other errors, only
formatting and reinstalling
will help there. The same Kernel without the RT-Patch running on equal
hardware stable
for nearly a year .

Has anyone made the same experiences ?? Will a change to a newer kernel
/ RT-Patch help ?
Is it a general problem , dealing with interrupting the IDE- Interrupt
??

Help please ... , thanks.

Every program has at least one bug and can be shortened by at least one
instruction -- from which, by induction, one can deduce that every
program can be reduced to one instruction which doesn't work.
