[rtl] How to select?

Now we want to use linux as our router's OS, can RT-Linux afford it? Do we need to implement the network protocol as "real-time"?

What's the intrinsical difference between the implementation of RT-Linux and some high-end RTOS like Vxworks or pSoS?
