[rtl] apllication segfault
Hi,
we use rt-linux for controlling some robots.
As visualisation-tool OpenInventor is used.
I connected our visualisation-programm (a 3D-Visualisation on X)
via RT-fifos with our rt-controlling-task. But the visualisation
breaks often with as segmentation fault. The controlling-task
does not use any floating-point operations but when I
made it FP-able ( rt_task_use_fp(&main_task,1); ) there
were no segfaults further on!!!
Some additional questions :
Is it save to use floating-point-ops in a rt-irq-function ?
Does converting fron int to float or vice versa use the FP-unit?
Thanx
