[rtl] Difference between v1.1 and v2.1.D

What is missing from rtlinux v2.1.D that is available in v1.1?

We are considering RTLinux for a prototype system we are developing.  We
don't need SMP capabilities, so should I use v1.1?  Is it more stable
than v2.1.D?
