[rtl] RTL and UTIME
First of all, thanks for an excellent job with RT-Linux. We have
tested version 2BETA8, and on a 300MHz Pentium it seems quite possible
to run with a sampling period of 10 microseconds and a jitter of 1--2
microseconds.
Now to my question:
We have a need to run both RT-Linux and the UTIME system on the same machine.
We would of course like to use the newest version, i.e. kernel 2.2.x
and RTL version 2. Since these two projects are so closely related, it
seems reasonable that they could somehow merge, or at least cooperate
so that they don't step on each other's toes ^H^H^H^H registers.
Is there any work going on along these lines? If not we will try
ourselves, but programming kernel timer code is not for the faint of heart.
Best regards
Leif
