    RT-Linux folk ,

    I have been looking at what it is going to take to bring up Hard real-time, low latency
variable transport on IEEE-1394 Iso Synchronous mode.

   It is looking like the TI LV23 OHCI 1394 device can handle most of the real time requirements
for such via it's rather advanced DMA, without requiring the CPU to do other than wake up to
actually do something with the networked data.

   That is to say, It may be possible to let the Linux side set things up, and only the Iso Synchronous
clock interrupt and memory mapped variables then need be hooked into the RT potion of Linux.
