Instead of answering your question, I hope to get the attention of
those who might know the answer, because I have a similar problem. I
need the Linux kernel to respond to NIC interrupts in the presence of
RT tasks frequently enough to keep network connections alive. I
modified the rate-monotonic scheduler so that the Linux kernel gets
scheduled periodically, in addition to using time unused by RT
tasks. However, I could not achieve the goal yet.
